Closed Sessions x LRG: Freddie Gibbs Edition from Ruby Hornet on Vimeo.
My boy DJ RTC sent me this new video from their Closed Session’s jump off, featuring one of the more prominent rising MC’s of our time, Freddie Gibbs. They hit the studio with producer M$M and YP for an exclusive track. Freddie headlined the Pitchfork Music Festival during his time in Chicago. Gibbs definitely has a stage presence like none other, looking forward to seeing/hearing what he does for the hip hop genre in the future.
THE INSIGHT recently interviewed Las Vegas based producer, Cam’rox. He is known for winning in San Fransisco’s Red Bull Big Tune 2010 Competition.
The #FloDeep team compiled of myself, Radio Ramone & Nique we’re featured on RefinedHype’s first year anniversary mixtape… AND WERE THE OPENING ACT!! Make sure you download exclusively on DJBooth.net!
((DOWNLOAD)) REFINEDHYPE: 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY EDITION
One year ago DJBooth launched its partner site RefinedHype.com, and we’re proud to say that the response has been beyond anything we could have imagined. As a thank you to all the fans, artists, promoters and bartenders who have supported our mission over the past year, we’ve put together an all-exclusive mixtape, which we’ve perhaps not-so-cleverly titled RefinedHype: 1 Year Anniversary Edition (hey, at least it’s direct).
Mixed by former Best of the Booth Vol. 1 creator DJ Critical Hype, 1 Year Anniversary features brand new cuts from some of the emcees who frequented our pages heavily over the past 365 days, including K. Sparks, K. Beta, The Black Sunn, Mike Schpitz, King Mez, Dominique Larue and many, many more.
To the artists who contributed to the mixtape, the hundreds of others who’ve shared their dopeness on the site, the fans and the countless others who’ve supported RefinedHype, thank you. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the second year.

His route to the brink of hip-hop stardom has taken him from a college campus in Queens to a spot on Jay-Z’s latest album. Now J.Cole, pegged as the next big thing in the rap game, is just a few touches from finishing his first solo album. And he’s quick to give props to his alma mater, St. John’s University…..

After numerous leaks, GemStones drops his new project entitled “On The Road to Glory: My Story”
Joe Budden Speaks on his brand new book, a message to his fans, and more. (Pardon the Poor Audio)
So I seriously have’t posted anything in like two months. My bad. I forgot my password. For those of you who haven’t heard of Rahzel…google him. He’s a beast.

The mixtape’s 14 tracks find King sharing his experiences as a multi-talented musician on the verge of hitting it big, while nonetheless feeling the recession’s effects on his finances
In a departure from many of his recent projects, Curtiss King takes a backseat on the production tip, enlisting the services of such beatsmiths as Tae Beast, Jansport J, Willie B, Captain, Ayiro and Jbizness. Guest features come courtesy of Ab-Soul, Stevie Crooks, Lite (Coolroy), Richard Wright, Noa James, Hawdwerk, Ill Camille, Raven Sorvino, Finess, and more.
Today marks the official day of Good living, Good vibes & Good music. The EP features six songs all produced by DJ Finyl with vocals from Marion Write featuring the likes of Nique, Verbal E of the Chapter Crew, Fame and The Remede. See you again with part 2 next year!
First off, I want to give my boy Fame a super shoutout. One of the few dudes I support to the max out here in Las Vegas. The chemistry and music is going to keep growing brother. I don’t think u need me to tell you how I feel about the project as I have told you many times already HAHA! Stay up bro. Message from Cairo below.
Here it is, C’est La Vie in its entirety! For those who couldn’t make it out to the event missed out on an epic showing from the food to the music the people and of course project. This was truly a life project and the music reflects that in more ways than one. C’est La Vie (that’s life) is filled with life moments which are capable of adhering to one’s own personal experiences and everything in between. Soundtrack music built for living would be the correct phrasing. Thank you to everyone who supports, you are appreciated. Live Love Life…Enjoy! - Cairo
